Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE)

The IFE is one of the oldest fire accreditation’s that  a fire extinguisher training company can have. The IFE was founded in 1918, and can boast over 12,000 members and is a non profit organisation. The IFE is licensed by the Engineering Council (UK)

The British Fire Consortium (BFC)

The BFC or the British Fire Consortium was set up in 1983 and is a independent body of fire safety companies/consultants, manufacturer’s and maintenance companies. The British Fire Consortium also offers advice to all its members.

Institute of Fire Prevention Officers (IFPO)

The IFPO or the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers  main purpose is to maintain high level standards of fire safety work in the UK.

The Fire Industry Association is one of the most recognisable memberships available to fire extinguisher training companies. Again the FIA is a none profit organisation and they offer a huge range of training courses covering all aspects of fire training from commissioning, install and maintenance.
